Our Scalp Micropigmentation Process

Although scalp micropigmentation takes a great deal of training to perform successfully, cosmetic procedures like these have fewer protocols and guidelines than other medical procedures. We follow all guidelines set in place to ensure our facility is as safe.

Each scalp micropigmentation session takes at least a few hours, depending on the size of the area you want tattooed. Here’s how the process goes:

Free Consultation

Whether you contact us for a medical tattoo, PRP hair treatments, or another service, you must first meet with us for a free consultation. During this meeting, we will get to know one another and discuss why you are seeking hair loss treatments. At Medical Tattoo Centers of America, we understand what it’s like to lose your hair and go through other traumas. We’re not here to judge you or simply make money. We’re here to listen to you and help you find a solution that can help you gain more confidence. We’ll go over quotes, answer all of your questions, and schedule an appointment for the procedure.

Schedule Procedure & Pay Deposit

Once we’ve agreed on a quote for your procedure and discussed the details of your care, we’ll schedule your appointment. At the time you schedule the appointment, you will have to put down a 25% deposit. Additionally, if something comes up and you need to cancel your appointment, you need to give us at least 48 hours notice, or you will lose your deposit. The Procedure

When you arrive for your appointment, you will be the only person in our facility. We do one procedure at a time to guarantee complete anonymity. Depending on the type of work we’re doing for you, the procedure can take anywhere from two to three hours to up to eight hours. Scalp micropigmentation uses a hand tool with a sterile needle to inject the pigment into the epidermal layer of your skin to create the illusion of hair. Scalp micropigmentation is completely safe and causes little discomfort for most people.

Occasional Touch-Ups

While scalp micropigmentation is a permanent solution to create the illusion of hair instead of trying to regrow your hair, the pigment may fade over time like any other tattoo. After your initial procedure, we will give you a free touch-up anytime within the first six months.
